Who were the first inhabitants?
Who gave the name “Tirnova”?

The answer at this question found the members of folklore circle from elder people.

The myths says:

Long time ago this place was like deserts, the nature gifted with forest where leaved many animals and birds, there was many wild fruits, raspberry, and wild strawberry. In the river there were different types of fish.

The first human beings who settled there was our forbears the Dacian who leave their houses after the battle. These descents have the surname Iacobciuc, Tcaciuc, Gudumac, Singurean, Muntean, Cosovan there are the older and bigger people. The name” Tirnova” comes from the boyard Tirnovchii, who had the lands described upper.

Concordant with the second myth

These rich places were grew by the solders of “lesesti” army, witch deserted from their country because of the worms with the neighbor people. This solders then leaved near the forest and water, the fire was cached with woods. They eat fish and fruits. In this parts appeared Poland surnames like Molodetchii, Costetchii, Sircovschi, Sincovschi, Podgurschi. According to this myth the Tirnova’s name came at the word “ Terneschi”- the orientation point for solders families. The both myth seems to be truth. How the archives village mentions first of all it was Lutaria then Tirnova after the boayard’s name, witch lend those estate. And they had the name Tirnoveschii.
