Tirnova, is situated in the North of the district Edinet, Republic of Moldova, on the right shore of the river Racovet, at 18 km of the central district and at 33 km of railway station Bratuseni. Tirnova borders in the West with the village Trinca, in the North with the village Halahora, district Briceni, in the East with the village Glinoaia, district Edinet, in the South- East with the village New Gordinesti and in the South with the village Gordinesti.
Now about 80% of people are of nationality Romaine, 18
% are Ukrainian, 1% are Russian and 1% others
nationalities.
In the village there a medical family’s office, a kinder- garden,
witch has 160 places, a gymnasium, a culture house, a postal office, 6 markets,
an enterprise witch produce oil, a mill, a monument for solders died in
the II World War and for deported persons.
Tirnova has 15,3 km of roads, 4,3 km are asphalted and 11 km are graveled. There is a pipe of 1,6 km of water, it exist also 2 artesian well and 270 wells with drinking water.
On the Tirnova’s territory there is a commercial society „Târnovet-Agro” LTD who has 21 tractors, 20 auto camions, 3 combines, 153 cows where 74 are milkmaid, there are also 1105,57 ha of land, 43,9 of orchard.
Another society is “Fidel-Agro” LTD witch dispose of 150 ha arable land, 2 tractors, one vehicle and a combine.
In this locality are registered 198 farmsteads witch has 330 ha of arable land and 1,80 ha of orchard.
The farmstead in cooperation with the commercial society breed animals,
technical cultures, cereals, fruits and vegetables.
